Bertha and family, How sad this day has been. I can't think of anything I enjoyed more than to call Bertha to chat and for Joe to pick up the phone. He was always cheerful and pleasant to talk to. He always made you feel like your phone call mattered. He knew alot about alot of topics. He was smart and shared knowledge about many things with me. Last time I called them, he answered and we were discussing car engines, I asked him a question about maintenance on my car, he gave me the answer but added, women shouldn't have to worry about things like that! I told him, but in these days and times, we have to. He was surprised to hear that I service my own yard equipment. He just didn't think that was right. Just a True Southern Gentleman!I miss him already, just knowing he's not here to talk to and mostly I will miss knowing how much he cared for our Bertha. He took such good care of her,as she did him, and she and Odie will miss him terribly. When I was deciding which birthday card to send him last month, I almost wrote this saying I have heard before,"It's not near as important how many years a fella has lived,as how many other folks have been right glad he has".I wish now I had written it in.Sincerely, Teresa Arrowood Boggs
