Obituary for Joe Lewis Taylor

Joe Lewis  Taylor
Joe L. Taylor, 83, died unexpectedly at his Union Mills home on Friday, October 24, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Cora M. Taylor and brother, Thomas E. Taylor.
He is survived by his long-time companion of 29 years Bertha Dowdle, brother, John (Joann) and his sister, Ruby T. Miller-Ousley (Clinton).
Joe is also survived by three nieces, Robbin O'Neal (Bob), Becky Elias (Jim), Lee Andrea Miller and nephews Donald Miller (Amanda) and Tommy Joe Taylor. He will also be missed by his faithful dog, Odie named after an army buddy.
Joe served in the army during the Korean War and was an avid reader of books pertaining to that war.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friend 1 hour prior to the service.
