Winnie Rachel  Hensley (Conner)
Winnie Conner Hensley, 93, of Rutherfordton, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Dottie Murphy Conner. She was a retired textile employee and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Ellen H. Flynn and husband Hugh of Columbus; granddaughter Becky H. McKelvey and husband Tommy of Rutherfordton; grandson Ronnie E. Hensley and wife Renee of Rutherfordton; great grandchildren, Michelle H. Davis of Kannapolis, NC, Zachary McKelvey of Rutherfordton, Bradley K. Hensley and wife Kendra of Greensboro, NC and Courtney H. Houser and husband Clint of Rutherfordton; six great great grandchildren; sister, Oneda C. Camp of East Flack Rock, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Shot” Hensley and son, Robert “Bob” Hensley, brothers, Clyde, Claude, Sam, David, Tellis, Martin and Kay Conner and sisters Annie Sue Searcy, Lillian Rector and Cynthia Brenn.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 563 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Rutherfordton with Rev. William Swink and Rev. John Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center of the church.
