Kenneth Leonard Simpson
Kenneth Leonard Simpson, 60, of Shallotte, NC, formerly of Spindale, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Center. Born in McDowell County, NC, Kenny was the son of Betty Leonard Simpson Lyle and the late Noah Jones Simpson. In addition to his father, Kenny was preceded in death by his stepfather, Don Lyle. Kenny had previously worked as the Computer Lab manager at Isothermal Community College. He was a member of Spindale United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Michael Simpson and wife Met of Shallotte; sister, Cathy Simpson Henson and husband Rick of Morganton; stepsister Kim Trammel and husband Kermit of Newland, NC; stepbrother Mark Lyle and wife Bonnie of NH; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2PM Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Spindale United Methodist Church with Rev. Ross O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service in the fellowship center of the church.
