Obituary for Earl Cecil Stott

Earl Cecil  Stott
Earl Cecil Stott, 83, of Forest City, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 8, 2017 while being cared for at Hospice. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Miles and Inez Minisch Stott. Cecil was a retired textile employee, a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and a US Army veteran.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sybil Hill Stott; son Dwayne Stott and wife Tammy of Rutherfordton; granddaughters, Haley Roche’ and husband Reeves of Union Mills and Cierra Price and husband Matt of Forest City; great granddaughter Elizabeth Roche’ of Union Mills and soon to be great grandchildren Jonah Roche’ and Emerie Price; sisters, Barbara Harris of Marion and Betty Harrison and husband Mr. T of Ellaville, GA; brothers, Lewis Stott and wife Joyce of Marion, Billy Joe Stott and wife Ellen of Union Mills and Wade Stott and wife Kaye of Marion.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Calvert, Shane Jackson and Eric Grindstaff officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
