Obituary for John Vernon Dehaven

John Vernon  Dehaven
John Vernon DeHaven, age 90, of 171 Fairway Dr. Lake Lure, NC passed away Saturday October 8, 2016 at Hospice House in Forest City. John was a native of Winchester, Va., a US Naval veteran of WW II, attended Fairfield Mountains Chapel and was the founder of AAA Employment Service operating over 130 offices throughout the United States.
Preceding John in death are his parents Carl and Margaret Johnson DeHaven; sons Carl Walter and Johnny Dehaven and a sister Margaret Louise Jones.
Left to cherish John’s memory are his loving wife Cindy Sweeney DeHaven of the home; children Diana Taber (Lane) of West Branch, MI.; Deborah Chavanne (Bruce) of Spring Hill Fl.; Scott DeHaven of Clearwater, FL.; Alice Herden (Don) of Weekiwachee, FL.; Gina Rue of Fl.; Tara Barnes (Tommy) of Midland, TX.; step son Kyle Haakinson of Augusta, GA.; 14 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday October 15, 2016 at Fairfield Mountains Chapel with the Rev. Everette Chapman officiating burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, Va.
