William Douglas "Froggy"  Sansing
Mr. William Douglas “Froggy” Sansing, age 73 of Ruth, died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Hospice House.
Doug was born September 28, 1942, in Spindale, North Carolina, to the late James Daniel Sansing and Sarah Morgan Monfredo Sansing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Torpey McIntyre Sansing and sisters Joan Stallings and Mary Helen Boulton.
He is survived by his daughters Judith Ann Sansing Helton and her husband Keith of Rutherfordton, Darlene Campbell of Forest City, and son Dennis Michael McIntyre of Forest City. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Taylor Ann Helton, Morgan Danielle Helton, and Savannah Campbell. He is the brother of Brenda Kelly of Union Mills, Marian Kelly and husband Mike of Union Mills, Martha Johnson of Nebo, Dorothy
Brady and husband Bill of Bessemer City, and Elsie Kay Sansing of Deep Gap.
Being an Eagle Scout, and Veteran of the United States Air Force, Douglas was also a former contractor, brick mason and owner of Froggy’s Café. Doug loved music, dogs, and family. He was an avid reader and always had two or three books started at a time. Doug was also an accomplished guitar player and will be dearly missed by his entire family and all his friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 PM Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting memorials be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043 or to Saint Jude’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
