Glenn Albert  Geouge
Glenn Albert Geouge, 96, of Chimney Rock, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Care Partners Solace in Asheville. A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Tim and Lockie Willis Geouge. Glenn was the ticket manager for Chimney Rock Park for 25 years. He was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church and a US Army veteran serving in WWII. He was also a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Chimney Rock Volunteer Fire Department.

Left to cherish Glenn’s memories are his brother, Leonard Geouge of Bakersville; sister, Bonnie Geouge of Spruce Pine, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Addie Clyde Foster Geouge and sisters Pearl Franklin, Belle Buchanan, Nettie Grindstaff and brother Ed Geouge.

Glenn was a devoted husband who always took care of his wife and put her needs first. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Chimney Rock Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Gene Daggerhart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chimney Rock Baptist Church, PO Box 157, Lake Lure, NC 28746 or Chimney Rock Volunteer Fire Department, 109 Terrace Drive, Chimney Rock, NC 28720.
