James William  Johnson
James W. Johnson of Bostic, North Carolina passed on December 12 at the VA Hospice Center in Asheville, NC. He was preceded in death of his (father) Leroy Johnson, (mother) Mae Pearl Metts Johnson, (daughter) Lekeitia Johnson and (brothers) Jimmy L. Johnson & Rufus F Johnson. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, a former electrical lineman for the town of Forest City and an entrepreneur. He was of the Methodist faith. James is survived by (wife) Albertine Corpening Johnson of Atlanta Georgia; (Son) Mantanze Theodosia Johnson of Lenoir NC; (daughter) Anitra Kay Johnson of Atlanta Georgia; (Grandchildren) Jermain jr, Jahayla and Jerniya Bradshaw of Atlanta, Georgia. He also leaves to mourn three sisters; Cora Ann Washington of Asheville, NC, Mary Lou Allen of Bostic, NC, Marjorie-Jessie Hoover Howard - of Chicago Illinois and two brothers Hoyle Johnson of Union Mills, NC and Alfred (Barbara) Johnson of Forest City, NC,a sister in law Debbie Miller Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews in laws .
Funeral services will be Thursday December, 17th at 11: AM and family receive friends beginning at 10:30-11:00 at Crowes Mortuary and chapel in Rutherfordton, NC . Reverend James Lytle will officiate. Interment will be at Johnson family cemetery in Bostic, NC. Online condolences can be made at www.crowemortuary.com
