Mary was my dear friend and gracious hostess.From our first encounter at First Baptist Church Rutherfordton, I found Mary and husband John to be sensitive helpful, compassionate friends and companions. I don't know how my invalid husband, Bill, and I could ever have managed the move to Greensboro without the volunteer help of Mary and Johnie, with packing carry planning and monitoring our home in our absence. Return visits to their home have been wonderful It is hard for me to imagine Rutherfordton without her helpful presence.She was a fine Christian lady and much loved by me and many others. Barbara
