Betty Lou Thompson

Betty Lou Thompson, age 79, of 171 Gold Medallion Dr. Bostic. NC, wife of Dennis Thompson, passed away on Wednesday February 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Betty was a native of Harlan County Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Milborne Miller and Mary Alice Bledsoe Saylor as well as a grandson William Hammons. She attended M & T Ministries and was retired from Cone Mills and also cooked at Sisk Restaurant.
In addition to her husband Dennis, Betty is survived by her daughter Linda VanderKooi and husband Pete of Bristol, Va., a brother Jimmy Miller of Bostic, 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dorothy Miller and Rev. Neal Murray officiating. Burial will be private in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
