Juanita Newton Cook, 75, of Forest City, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 16, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Lula Gosnell Hall. Juanita was retired from Burlington Industries in Caroleen and attended Plain View Baptist Church. She loved the Senior Center and was a member of the Forest City Hardees Crew.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Ronea Grindstaff and husband Reggie of Hickory, Denise Downs and husband Johnny of Bostic; son Douglas Newton Jr and wife Mandy of Forest City; two grandchildren Diana Newton and Tasha Newton of Forest City; sisters Gladys Estes of Forest City and Lovenia Harvey of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Douglas Newton Sr, Robert Newton and Jim Cook, and a number of brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, January 19, 2015 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Marshall Dill officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
