Obituary for Calvin Hudgins
Calvin Hudgins, 61, of Rutherfordton, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Ruby Flynn Hudgins. He was a glass handler for PPG Industries and a member of Fellowship Holiness Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Rita Mode Hudgins of the home; sons Dale Hudgins and wife Karen of Rutherfordton, Shane Hudgins of Rutherfordton; daughter Lori Smith and husband Joey of Forest City; grandchildren Austin Smith, Nicholas Hudgins, Kaleigh Smith and Brooke Hudgins; sisters, Pam Cogdell, Susie Craig, Polly Edwards, Connie Harris, Bonnie Ledford and Patty Kelly; brothers Jack Hudgins and Ray Hudgins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Breanna Hudgins.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Leon Brown, Rev. Roger Hudgins and Rev. Paul Flynn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7PM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
