The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Clyde Conner can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Clyde Rupert Conner
Clyde Rupert Conner age 79, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away peacefully on November the 18th 2014. Born June 8th 1935, he was the son of the late Will and Eula Conner. Clyde was a textile worker and retired from the former Mastercraft Industries. He loved camping, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Helen Parker Conner; daughter Diane Conner Waters and husband Carl of Spindale, NC; daughter Helen Kaye Conner Ledford and husband Wade of Rutherfordton, NC; Son Johnny Rupert Conner of Rutherfordton, NC; Son Clyde Ricky Conner of Spindale, NC; Sister Polly Conner Hutchins and husband Rupert of Rutherfordton, NC; Nine grandchildren, Chris Waters, Misty Waters Rogers, Dana Euten Swink, Melody Euten, Keisha Harris, Marie Ledford Foster, Samuellee Ledford, Pheobe Conner, and Emma Conner; Sixteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday November the 21st, from 1-2 at Crowe’s Mortuary. Services will be held at 2:00PM with the Rev. Roger Hudgins officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County POB 336 Forest City NC 28043. The family will be gathering at 165 California St. Spindale NC 28160.
