i met Billy back in the 80s . i worked at K&F with him..he had taught me so much when i worked there, enough so that when Gene Knipe retired and he bought the shop, i struck out on my own, if it wasnt for Billy i wouldnt have my shop today. he ment more to me than he he ever knew,, iv talked about him many times over the years about how he and Gene would go to the outerbanks fishing or about how he liked going to green river trout fishing. he was always quick to answer any questions i had, and he was very good at what he done.. i cant believe time has passed so quickly and he is gone,, if i had to guess id say hes in Heven fishing somewhere,,lol ,, Billy was a true friend and i will never forget him,, rest in piece old friend
