Obituary for Austin Mull

Austin Mull
Stormy Austin Mull, 20 of Rutherfordton passed away on March 18th, 2019. He was a very special young man and blessed many lives in his twenty short years. Austin loved people and was kind to everyone. His sweet personality and joyful attitude drew people to him. Everyone who met Austin loved him.
Austin loved spending time with his friends, especially his “coon dog brothers”. His favorite pastime was coon hunting with his new dog “Pete”. Austin also loved spending time at the lake camping, playing basketball, riding jet skis and especially fishing. So all of you fisherman will be disappointed when you get to heaven because Austin will have already caught all the fish!!
Austin was a hard worker and enjoyed being in the woods logging. He was very partial to operating the skidder. The woods were his happy place.
Austin accepted Christ a little over a year ago and the family takes comfort in knowing he is wrapped in the loving arms of his heavenly Father. The family is thankful to God for giving them such a special person in Austin and he will be missed terribly.
Left to cherish his memory are his grandparents Annette and Ricky Jackson, a brother Aaron Mull, parents Christina Hollifield and Michael Boone. He is also survived by his great grandparents Wallace and Carman Jackson and Nyal Bailey. Austin was preceded in death by great grandmothers Frances Stallings and Diane Jackson.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday March 21st at Crowe’s Mortuary from 6PM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 22, 2019 at Piney Knob Baptist Church at 3PM with the Rev. Mike Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Piney Knob Baptist Church, 1534 Piney Knob Road Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
