Floyd Lyle Chittister, 84, of Rutherfordton passed away on March 11, 2019. He was a native of Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. Floyd was a retired tool and die maker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Chittister and a daughter, Becky Marie Holland. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of sixty five years, Donna Louise Weber Chittister, of the home; daughter Darlene Joy Reep and husband Kelly of Lincolnton, a son Lee Alan Chittister and wife Ronda of Forest City, a daughter Barbara Thrower and husband Clifford of Bostic; grandchildren Patrick Shaffer, Jarji-Jo Combs and Tiffany Weast; also a great grandchild Ayla Keosykhao. A memorial service will be held at 2PM on March 14, 2019 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 801 Mt. Lebanon Church Road, Bostic, NC 28018, with the Rev. Paul White Jr. officiating.
