Elise Rose Lach of Lake Lure, North Carolina, passed away at home on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Born in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada, she lived her life between, Syracuse, New York, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Lake Lure, North Carolina. She was an executive assistant and a homemaker raising her three daughters.
Elise is survived by her three daughter Roseann Pena (son-in-law John), Diane George (son-in John, decd.), and Joanne Bingo (son-in law Bill); grandchildren, Edward George, Billy and Brooke Bingo and several nieces and nephews, Dina and Tori George children of deceased John George, and all her friends.
Like her husband Ed (decd., March 30, 2018), Elise was a compassionate person who’s first love was her husband (married 62 years) and family. Her second love was supporting the community with many hours of volunteer work. She also enjoyed social activities such as playing bridge with her friends.
The family, will receive family and friends on Friday, March 22 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, at Crowes Funeral Home, 118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. Also, on Friday starting at 6:00 PM in the Chapel at Crowe’s Funeral Home, Father H. Burke, from the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Forest City, will conduct the rosary. On Saturday, March 23, at 11:00 AM funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Forest City with a reception/luncheon to follow in the parish hall, hosted by the ladies Guild, 1024 W. Main St., Forest City, NC 28043.
