Obituary for William Carlton Jones
William Carlton Jones, 83, of Lake Lure, died Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Charles George VA Hospice. A native of Jefferson County, AL, he was the son of the late William Corley and Ruby Jones Taylor. William was a retired US Navy Veteran, serving from 1954 until 1984. After his military service William retired from the United States Postal Service in Forest City where he was a city carrier.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Robin Millette and husband Kevin; son Billy Jones; grandchildren, Colton Brant Snethen, Keaton Craig Snethen, Nathan Carlton Millette, Reid Iverson Jones, and Reagan Elizabeth Jones; sister, Betty Jo Huston.
Graveside services will be held 2PM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Bills Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Mark Lawing officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charles George VA Hospice, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
