Martha Ann Lovett McKinney was born on July 27th, 1934 and passed away on February 9, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Carrie Eula Melissa Irene Lovett Williams and Charles Lovett. She was preceded in death by her daughter Martha Jean Clark and is survived by her 3 sons Jerry Lovett, Jimmy Ray Lovett, James McKinney, and her 5 daughters Susan McKinney, Sandra McKinney Lynch, Valencia Lovett-Williams, Stacey Lovett-Vance, and Tonnett Lovett-Williams. She has 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Martha Ann McKinney was part of the first graduating class of Carver High School in 1952 and she worked at Cone Mills from 1971-1996.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel., 118 College Avenue, Rutherfordton, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Private burial will take place at St. Paul’s AME Zion Church Cemetery in Forest City.
