Margie Ruth Grose King Scruggs, age 85, of 149 Fairhaven Dr. Bostic, NC passed away Monday. Margie was a native of Rutherford County, a member of Crestview Baptist Church, the daughter of the late Garnett A. Grose and Ruth Waldrop Grose; widow of the late Benjamin Dewey Scruggs and mother of the late Randy and Patricia King.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert King and wife Avis of Rutherfordton; Ronnie King of Hollis; grandchildren Mandy King Taylor, Ronnie King Jr. and Chris King; great grandchildren Emma Taylor, Daisy and Olivia Kate King; step son Doug Scruggs and wife Claudia of Virginia.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Wednesday December 5 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Crowe’s Mortuary.
