Obituary for Nell Mae Goforth (Penson)
Nell Penson Goforth, 89, of Spindale passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Willie B. and Elizabeth Toney Penson. She was a member of First Baptist Church Spindale and a retired beautician.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Taffy Taylor and husband Don, grandsons Mark Taylor and wife Cindy and Matt Taylor and wife Mandy; great grandchildren, Noah Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Sarah Taylor and Emma Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Goforth, brother, Bill Penson and sister Dot Ford.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Charley Melton officiating. Interment will be in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043
