Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Faye Pruette can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Mrs. Faye Lindsay Pruette, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend peacefully passed away on September 21st, 2018. Born on October 10th, 1942 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, Mrs. Pruette was a graduate of the North Brook High School Class of 1960. She was the spouse of 56 years of Rev. Derell Pruette, Forest City, NC. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one son, Steven Pruette of Rutherfordton, NC; daughter Darla and husband John Henderson of Forest City, NC; daughter Faith and husband Chad Bailey of Forest City, NC; five grandchildren Lindsay Pruette of Chapel Hill, NC; Madison Pruette of Rutherfordton, NC; Cole Henderson, Maytlin Bailey, and Grayson Bailey all of Forest City, NC; one brother Carl Lindsay of Vale, NC; five brother-in-laws and four sister-in-laws, and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Corene Lindsay and her best friend and sister Geraldine Lindsay Justice. Faye was best known in her community as a truly giving person, a mother to many, a wonderful cook, flower gardener, and homemaker who dedicated her life to her husband, church family, children, and most especially to her treasured grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Crowe’s Mortuary, 118 College Ave. Rutherfordton, NC 28139 on Sunday September 23rd from 2:00-4:00PM. Following the visitation a service in her honor will be held at 4:00PM at Crowe’s Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday September the 24th at 11:00AM at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. 1156 Northbrook III School Road, Vale, NC 28168. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043, or to the Gastric Cancer Foundation c/o The V Foundation 14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513.
