Mr. Larry Grant Deviney passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at his residence. Born on April 19, 1941, he was the son of the late Dewey and Grace Grayson Deviney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Frady Deviney; sister, Jewel McDaniel; brother, Louie Deviney, and a nephew, Carson McDaniel.

Mr. Deviney is survived by his son, Grant, Grant’s wife Rebecca, and two grandchildren, Emma Grace and Aaron Grant of Spindale; his widowed sister in law, Barbara Deviney (Louie Deviney), sister in law, Kieta Jane Lanford (Tom Lanford) of Spartanburg, SC. Larry is also survived by his niece, Leslie Hodge Stewart (Tim Stewart) and their daughter Ava of Roebuck, SC.; his nephew Sean Lanford of Spartanburg, SC and his niece, Lynda McDaniel of Raleigh, NC.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Larry was laid to rest at Calvary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Christian School, 299 Deter Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
Larry was a dedicated father, grandfather, coach, entrepreneur and avid tennis player, who loved God, his church family and friends. He will be truly missed.
