Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Fred Goode can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Fred Bernard Goode "Rick" age 92 of Forest City, NC passed away at his home on August 7th 2018. Fred was the son of the late Adam and Eva Allen Goode. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife Iva Jean Goode. Left to cherish his memory are his children Jeannie Blackwell (Chuck) of Forest City; daughter Pamela Johnson (Eddie) of Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren Perry Blackwell, Ricky Blackwell, Tina Travelstead, Lucas Johnson, Clinton Johnson; great grandchildren Jacob Blackwell, Peyton Blackwell, Truett Blackwell, Katelynn Blackwell, Garrett Blackwell, and Levi Travelstead; Sister Ann Trammel. Rick served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and was an active member in the Hendersonville Honor Guard, Post Commander at the Hendersonville American Legion, and was active in the Hendersonville VFW. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills PO BOX 336 Forest City, NC 28043. The family will receive friends on Saturday August 11th 2018 at Crowe's Mortuary from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Services will be held at Crowe's Chapel at 11:00AM with Dr. Courtney and Rev. Bass officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Burial will be private.
