Obituary for Leon Sinclair Sr.

Leon  Sinclair Sr.
Samuel Leon Sinclair Sr., 90, of Forest City, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Claude Fielding and Bessie Hardin Sinclair. Leon retired from Crellin as a Supervisor. He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of Adaville Baptist Church.

Left to cherish Leon’s memory is his wife, Elizabeth Justice Sinclair; daughter, Susan Sinclair; son, Mark Sinclair (Kathy); brother, Grady Sinclair; stepchildren, Sheree Crowder (John), Renee Nolen (James) and Tim McEntire (Ramona); grandchildren, Chad Sinclair, Branden Sinclair, Tanner Sinclair, Cameron Sinclair, Mollie Huffman (Nash), Aimee Sinclair; step grandchildren, Michael Crowder (Amy), Brian Crowder (April), Angie Hardin (Brian), Melanie McEntire, Michaela McEntire, Justin Nolen, Christopher Nolen and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Randall Sinclair and son, Samuel Leon Sinclair, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Adaville Baptist Church, 805 Oakland Road, Spindale, NC with Rev. Jonathan Cobb, Dr. Jim Whitlow, Andy Cobb, Brian Hardin, and Tommy Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6PM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Crowe’s Mortuary, 118 College Avenue, Rutherfordton, NC

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC or Adaville Baptist Church, 805 Oakland Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
