Mrs. Virginia Fuller Lane Jelinek, passed away peacefully on June 15th at Willowridge. She was born December 10th, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Saint Francis orphanage. After attending Saint Francis School of Nursing, she became a registered nurse. Virginia worked in hospitals, private nursing, and later as an industrial nurse. Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Lane, and second husband George Jelinek of Westmont, Illinois. After moving to Rutherford County, she was active in church and the community, having been one of the original organizers of Hospice of Rutherford County. She loved her dogs, and also enjoyed working in her yard with flowers. Survivors include two step daughters of Illinois, Mrs. Gloria Page (John) and Mrs. Gail Yerman (Ken) and her close friend of over 50 years and later her caregiver Dorothy Lane. Graveside services will be held at McDowell Memorial Park in McDowell County 327 Memorial Park Rd Marion NC 28752 on Tuesday June 19th at 11:00AM with Rev.
