Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Susan Strassburger can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Susie Garner Strassburger, Loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister and proud grandmother, went to be with the Lord on June 3,2018 in” Spindale, NC after courageously battling a long term illness. Born in St. Louis MO, her family later moved to West Palm Beach Florida where she attended Forest Hill High School. She met her husband at “THE HUT” in 1970 and were married three weeks later. They recently celebrated their 48 year anniversary. She was preceded in death by her father James Garner, Virginia Deloris Garner and Sister Nancy Zeilmann. She is survived by her beloved husband Raymond Strassburger and her three sons, Steven Strassburger, Cory Strassburger and Heather Kim, Eric and April Strassburger and her sister Genie Garner Van Santen, sister-in-law Robin and brother-in -law David Novak, brother-in law Jack Daniel and two beautiful grandchildren Rylan and Emery. Susie will also be missed by her loving nieces and nephews and their children. A small memorial will be scheduled at a later date for family members. In lieu of flowers we would greatly appreciate a donation be made to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or Hospice Foundation of America, 1707 L St. NW., Suite 220, Washington, DC 20036.
