Obituary for Larry Eugene Morrison

Larry Eugene  Morrison
Larry Eugene Morrison, 74, of Rutherfordton, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Willow Ridge. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Eugene “Pete” Morrison and Gladys Mae Deskin McIntyre. He was a welder in the US Navy. He served from 1961-1968. He was stationed in San Diego and travelled on the USS Lofberg to Pearl Harbor, then to North Vietnam. He visited 27 countries while in the service.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Diane Gantt (Ty) of Shelby; brothers, Wayne Morrison (Ann) of Union Mills and Dean Morrison (Rita) of Bostic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Blondine Evans Bumgarner, sister, Shirley M. Hipps and brother, Billy Ray Morrison.

Services will be held at a later date.
