Minnie Manallia  Doggett (Nanney)
Minnie N. Doggett, 85 of Oakland Living Center passed away on April 30, 2018. She was a native of Rutherford County, daughter of the late Drury Edgar and Velma Jaynes Nanney. Minnie was the widow of the late Bill Hugh Doggett and member of Spencer Baptist Church in Spindale. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother; Lucille N. Parton, Myrtle N. Silvers, Ruby N. Daniel, Clara N. Fagan and Robert E. Nanney. Minnie is survived by one son Mark T. Doggett, one sister Bertha “Bub” Nanney Hill, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday May 3, 2018 at 11AM at Spencer Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at The Family Life Center. Dr. Bruce Caldwell will officiate and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Spencer Baptist Church, 187 North Oak Street, Spindale, NC 28160. The family would like to express their appreciation to Mike and Arlene Smith and the staff at Oakland Living Center for the care and love that Minnie received during her time there.
