Obituary for Edward John Lach

Edward J. Lach, 86
Edward John Lach, of Lake Lure, North Carolina, succumbed to kidney disease at home on Friday, March 30, 2018. Born in Yonkers, New York, he lived his life between, Syracuse, New York, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Lake Lure, North Carolina. He was a Navy veteran and graduate of Syracuse University in Engineering.
Ed is survived by his wife and best friend Elise of 62 years; daughters Roseann Pena (son-in-law John), Diane George (son-in-law John, decd.), and Joanne Bingo (son-in-law Bill); grandchildren, Edward George, Bill and Brooke Bingo, sister Cassie Butynski and several nephews and nieces, Dina and Tori George children of deceased John George, and all his friends.
Ed was a passionate man who’s first love was his wife and family. For Ed, it was always all about family. His second love was supporting his community with many hours of volunteer work.
The family, will receive friends on Friday, April 6 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, at Crowes Funeral Home, 118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. Starting at 6:00 PM in the Chapel at Crowe’s Funeral Home, Father H. Burke from the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Forest City, will conduct the rosary. On Saturday, April 7, at 11:00 AM mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Forest City with a reception/luncheon to follow in the parish hall, by the ladies Guild, 1024 W. Main St., Forest City, NC, 28043.
