Fred Michael Greene "Mike" 67, of Rutherfordton passed away on March 22, 2018. He was the son of the late Fred Bobo Greene and Margaret Ann Beaver Greene. Mike had a passion for golf, UNC, fishing and family especially his grandchildren. He served in the United States Army and was retired from PPG and Rutherford County Schools.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Judia Greene, son Chad Greene of Charlotte and a daughter Jennifer Limerick (Jonathan) of Cullman, Alabama, brothers Ricky Greene of Mooresboro and Danny Greene of Dallas, NC, stepchildren Wendy Weaver (Chuck) of Columbia, SC, Natalie Moore (Philip) of Chesnee, SC and Tracie Hill of Spindale, NC, grandchildren, Maggie Stutts, Alex Stutts, Macie Burgin, Ethan Burgin, Elizabeth Greene, Gloria Thomas and Analisa Gordon, step grandchildren Morgan Hill, Trinity Washington, Bailey Davis, Aaron Limerick, Laney Moore and Foster Moore. Mike also leaves behind his dog Lillie who he adored and a special mother in law Bea Proctor. Along with his parents Mike was proceeded in death by his daughters Lisa Greene and Heather Greene.
A funeral service to honor Mike Greene will be held on Sunday March 25, 2018 4PM at Piney Knob Baptist Church, 1534 Piney Knob Road, Rutherfordton, NC with the Rev. Mike Brown officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
