Forrest Shull  Padgett
Forrest Shull Padgett, 65, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Erby Jack Padgett, mother Georgia Mae Byrd Amos and stepfather Marion Arthur Amos. Forrest worked at Mastercraft for 20 years and later at Tanner for more than 20 years until retirement.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia Cochran Padgett of the home; son, Jack Padgett and wife Jessica; granddaughter, Kaitlin Melanie Padgett; step grandchildren, Kiara Smith, John Smith and Mechiah Silvers; brothers, William Joseph Padgett (Kim) of Rutherfordton, Michael Lee Padgett (Frannie) of Asheville; sister, Joyce Padgett Saunders and husband Kirk of Asheville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Padgett Wilde and brothers, Erby Baxter Padgett and Richard Darwin Padgett.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Crowe’s Mortuary from 6 to 8PM.
Funeral services will be held 4PM Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Michael Brown and Robbie Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
