Jayne Beatty Johnson, age 69, wife of Jimmy “J. J. “Johnson of 178 Courtland St. Spindale passed away Monday at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Jayne was a native of Rutherford County, the daughter of Dot Hovis Beatty and the late Bill Beatty, a graduate of R. S. Central High School, a member of Spindale United Methodist Church, and retired from Spindale Elementary School as an assistant.
In addition to her husband Jimmy and mother Dot she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Jamie Johnson Atti (Bill) and grandchildren Jared and Olivia Atti of Wake Forest.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Spindale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-7 PM at Crowe’s Mortuary.
