Condolence From: Tammy Morrow Daniels
Condolence: Uncle CR and Aunt Pam were with me on my entrance into this world, my Daddy went to start the truck and it would not start. You both were not only you our relatives you were located a street over.Mom told me she glanced at clock when she walked out of the house it was 3:00 am. I was born at 3:16 am where Mama got a tongue lashing from a nurse for waiting so long I was 2 yrs.old when my Daddy died. You were a such a wonderful man and tried to be a positive role model to all 5 of us. When I started school and we had summer breaks I spent so many with you and Pam. Coming to you two's house was better than going to Disney World if there even was a Disney World in the late 60's and early 70's. I got stung countless time because I could never stay the safe distance you put me at the hives. You explained that some of bees had been from my Daddy's hives. We ran over Copperheads on the way to Grandma Morrow's, somehow I got in my head that they would crawl into the exhaust pipe and get in passenger compartment and bite us all.I think I was doubly afraid because one of Uncle Howard's daughters Gail or Brenda actually did get bit on the steps that led th Grandmother Morrow's back porch
I adored your dog at the time named Pedro and giving him cookies. Poor Pedro was getting older but I treated him as if he had the energy of a puppy, poor thing it is a wonder he didn't have a Heart Attack. I can still hear Pam's laughter watching me play with Pedro. We had a road trip planned for me to go with you and Pam to Pennsylvania. I started crying the night before telling you both I was going to miss my Mama too bad and was already home sick. By the next morning I was ready to head to Pennsylvania all tears gone. But by the way I acted the night before neither you or Pam were going to take the chance so you had to drive me all the way back to Hendersonville before you both could head out on your vacation. I spent several more summers with you he U became a a of absorbed teenager. Who camped out the telephone with friends, had sleepovers with friends, and went swimming at the pool in Hendersonville with my cousins. So many times I have wished to be young again and spend the summer with you both drink Pepsi and get take out pizza. Thank you for taking me to Sunday School at the church we attended when we lived there Second Baptist on the same street we lived on.Through Pam's stories I got to know more about my Daddy. Evidently his nickname for me was Alley Oop. So it made me very happy when you both called me that. To bring all our lovely memories to a end. Thank you and Pam for being my favorite Aunt and Uncle paternally.I will be seeing you both again, and precious Pedro too.
My deepest condolences to CR, Missy and Jessica. Even though I wasn't around much then. I always knew you both would make awesome Grandparents. You will forever be in my heart until we meet again. I love you both with all my heart.
