Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rotha Hensley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Rotha Billy  Hensley
Rotha Billy Hensley, 81, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Monday, February 12, 2018, after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Elizabeth Silvers Hensley of Rutherfordton and the late Hiram Hensley; a veteran of The United States Army, where he also served as a member in the band; retiree of Grindstaff's; member of Oak Springs Baptist Church and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mrs. Martha Love Hensley of Rutherfordton; daughter, Jewel Hensley; two sons, Eric Hensley and Vernon Hensley; brother, J.D. Hensley; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Grady Hensley, Monroe Hensley, Creed Hensley, Shelby Hensley and four sisters Blanche Starnes, Aileen Goins, Marie Briscoe, and Lockie Scruggs.

The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Oak Springs Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. The funeral service will be conducted at 3pm Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Oak Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Alvin Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
