Mr. Gordon Louis Miner, age 64, passed away Saturday, February 03, 2018 while being cared for at The Charles George Veterans Administration Medical Center in Asheville, NC.
Gordon is a son of the late Betty Lou Miner Bunce and was also preceded in death by his step father Harold Bunce. A native of Hannibal, Missouri he retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service having served during Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm.

He is survived by his wife Catherine "Cathy" Castle Miner of the home, one daughter Mary Dunn of Spindale, NC; two stepsons - J.C. Callison of Wilmington, NC and Thomas Callison of El Paso, TX; two sisters - Lori Fries and Nancy Martin both of Kansas City, KS; five grandchildren - Cashmere Weeks, Brian Russell, Elizabeth Dunn, Jeffrey Dunn II, and Aurora Dunn; one great grandchild - Raelynn Weeks, and a number of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Crowe's Funeral Chapel 118 US Hwy 74A, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with Rev. Paul Lane and Rev. Michael Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice Wing of The Charles George Veterans Administration Medical Center.
