Obituary for Carroll Gene Price

Carroll Gene Price
Carroll Gene Price (82)

Carroll Gene Price, the son of Corene and Lester Price, was born in Bellflower, California. He served in the US Army being stationed for a time in Korea. He always felt great pride every time he put his hand over his heart admiring the American flag while listening to the National anthem.
He was a hero to many while serving as a Deputy for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department and as a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple. He had a deep admiration for youth which led him to coach Pop Warner football for 13 years. Carroll had a great passion for fishing and a deep love for his USC Trojans and the South Carolina Stingrays. He and his wife Barbara could be seen sitting behind the goal at almost every Stingrays hockey game for over 20 years.
Most of all he was a loving and caring husband, father to five children, grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a friend to all who knew him. Carroll is survived by his wife of 48 years Barbara, his daughter Debbie (Roger), his sons Rick (Pam), Scott (Annette), Russell (Susie), and his daughter April (Richard).
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Elie with whom he is now reunited as an eternal family.
Carroll loved life and all who crossed his path. He was a loving man whose absence will be felt by all who knew him.
An open house will be held from 2:00 pm -5:00 pm on January 14, 2018 at his home in Goose Creek, SC. Friends are welcome to visit with his family and share their fond memories of Carroll. Memories can also be shared with his family by email to barbarajprice38@gmail.com.
