Condolences

Condolence From: Bob Philbck
Condolence: Mr. Basden was a Gentleman, an honest, forthright, and man of integrity. I first met him while being on the Police force of Forest City, NC. Our relationship continued through the years as I entered the ministry and pastored my first church back in the 70's and 80's. He was instrumental is aiding a campaign to stop the entrance of Alcoholic beverages into Forest City. At that time he was Chief of Police in Rutherford. I found him a true friend, and one who objectively handled matters with the utmost justice and uprightness. He will be remembered for his lasting legacy of honesty and integrity. He was a Christian!

Condolence: A very sweet man who will be sorely missed in the Gilkey community. He was a wealth of knowledge on many fronts and a great representative of the "old Highway Patrol". My condolences to a wonderful family.
