Jim & Cynthia Wickerink

With deepest sadness we learned of John's passing. We wish to send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. John and I grew up together in a simpler time in Coldwater MI. We attended school together from 1st grad through high school graduation and were dorm roommates in our freshman year at the University of Michigan. Growing up we spent summers riding our bikes, running through the neighborhood and heading home when the street lights came on. Sports were a big part of our lives. Along with our "posse" of friends and classmates we were always playing baseball, football or basketball. As we grew older, hunting and fishing became a big part of our lives. John was a consummate leader and he was our class President and Captain of our football & basketball teams. He had an enormous influence on my life as well as others, always giving encouragement and solid advice if he felt it was needed. John could have chosen any career but chose to be of service and save people's lives. I know that he was also very strong in his faith and dedicated to his community. I will forever miss my "brother". May he rest in Peace, may he be free.
