Dorothy Haynes Dixon, 85, of Spindale, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Mission Hospital. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nola Bridges Haynes. She was a seamstress.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of sixty five and one half years, Ralph Dixon veteran of the Korean War, retired, of the home; daughters, Linda Atchley and spouse Gene of Union Mills and Nancy Meaders and spouse Jud of Canton, MS; sons, Leonard Dixon and spouse Carolyn of Gonzales, LA and John Dixon and spouse Tracy of Rutherfordton; six grandchildren, Ginger Turner, Jeremy Atchley, CJ Meaders, Amanda Wilson, Joshua Dixon and Caleb Dixon; two step grandchildren, Dalton Shehan and Mercedes Walters; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, George Haynes of Forest City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Meaders, and brothers Buddy Haynes and Johnny Haynes.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
