Jamie Fender, age 49, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on April 7th 2017 after battling cancer. Friends and those who knew him from competing in Demolition Derbies knew him as “Wildchild.” Jaime spent his life junking cars and many people recognized him by the yellow rollback he drove.
Jamie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terry Hardin Fender, and their three sons, Christopher, Justin, and Josh Fender; his mother Loretta Fender of Forest City; and siblings Shannon Kiser (husband Danny and son Storm), Christan “Chris” Flynn (husband Charlie), and Mike Fender, all of Forest City. He is preceded in death by his father, James Fender.
Receiving of Friends will be held from 5-7PM on Monday April 10th at Crowes Mortuary. A service will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday April 11th at Cornerstone Church (Hudlow Road). Burial will follow at Rutherfordton City Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
