Rosa Irene Norville Davis, age 89, widow of the late J.B. Davis of the Cane Creek Community passed away Monday February 20, 2017 at Hospice House. Rosa was a native of Rutherford County, the daughter of the late Mal and Ruby Smawley Norville, Sr., a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; always putting others before herself.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Linda (Steve) Roberts of Gastonia, Janelle (Gary) Camp of Rutherfordton, Alicia (Terry) Padgett of Marion and Julia (Brett) Kreisher of Dawsonville, Ga.; sons Michael (Barbara) Davis, Marcus Davis all of Union Mills, and Alan (Heather) Davis all Rutherfordton; sisters Martha Baker, Nancy Taylor, Sarah Bollinger all of Union Mills and Pauline Guffey of Baltimore, Md.; sister in law Jeanette Norville of Union Mills; grandchildren Stephanie (Carl) Moore, Susan (Nick) Clinard, Joseph Clyde Davis, John Michael Davis, Jason (Amy) Camp, Karen (Josh) Morrison, Davida (Henry) Yarborough, Nichole Hass, Mary Anne Hass, Thomas Ray (Lauren Limbird) Freeman Jr., Matthew Charles Kreisher, Mara (Walt) Washburn, Joshua Alan (Cheryl) Davis, Jordan Ray (Talia) Davis, Sarah Rose Davis and Jake Hunter Carpenter and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded n death by sisters Jennie Lee Keller and Bonnie Geer and brother Mal Norville Jr.

A service to celebrate the life of Rosa Irene Norville Davis will be held at 3 PM Thursday February 23, 2017 at Cane Creek Baptist Church Hwy 64 Union Mills, NC with the Rev. Danny Camp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 Pm – 2:30 PM Thursday in the family life center of Cane Creek Baptist Church.
