Barbara Jean Kindle of Rutherfordton, NC went to rest with our Lord on February 6, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Barbara was born on September 27, 1951 to Katherine & Bill Bragg and was raised in Portal, GA. She married her soul mate, Tony Kindle, on June 16, 1984 and became a military wife. She devoted her life to taking care of others in various parts of the US as a nurse for over 40 years (BSN from Georgia Southern University). After many years of moving with the military, she and Tony retired to their mountain home in North Carolina. Barbara was an avid reader with a love of travel and taking cruises with family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Kindle. Children: Todd & Tori Mills of Lawrenceville, GA; Scott & Holly Mills of Rincon, GA. Grandchildren: Gavin & Aiden; and 3 granddogs. Siblings: Ann & Jerry Finch, Alan & Sherry Bragg, Floyd & Faye Bragg. Family-in-love: Dorothy Kindle, Linda Overmon, Barbara Campbell, Robert & Vickie Kindle, Kathy & Marty Shearouse. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Katherine & Bill Bragg; father-in-love, Robert Kindle; and brother-in-love, Ronnie Overmon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her home in Rutherfordton on February 11, 2017 at noon.

A Memorial Service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Portal, GA on February 18, 2017 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
