Obituary for Annie Bertha Dowdle

Annie Bertha  Dowdle
Bertha Dowdle of Union Mills, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at Oak Grove Health Care Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Lester E. Dowdle Sr and Ethel Arrowood Dowdle. She was a member of Thermal City United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brothers, Johnny R. Dowdle, Tommy L. Dowdle and Dewey Raymond Dowdle, all of Union Mills; and she was a favorite aunt of her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Earl Dowdle, Lester E. Dowdle Jr, Robey C. Dowdle and Billy Dowdle; sister Juanita D. Nanney and Bertha’s companion of 29 years, Joe Taylor.
Graveside services will be held 3PM Friday, December 2, 2016 at Round Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Koone and Rev. Jack Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at Thermal City United Methodist Church.
Because of her love of children, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
