Carolyn Crain (Hall)
Carolyn Hall Crain, age 79, of Union Mills passed away Wednesday at her home. Carolyn was a native of Rutherford County, a retired book keeper and a member of Gilkey Church of God.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Marion Crain; daughters Marilyn (Jerry) McEntyre and Marlene (Richard) Hollifield; grandchildren Andy and Alan McEntyre, Carla Kennedy and Michael Hollifield; 6 great grandchildren and a sister Marie (Joe) Smith.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Gilkey and Zora Bell Harris Hall; brothers G. A, Daniel and Virgil Hall; sisters Nell Underwood, Mabel Gragg and Ruth Rhodes.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday at Gilkey Church of God with Rev. Chris Kennedy and Rev. Herman Toney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Crowe's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
