The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Diane Goodwin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Bernadette and Steven Smith
Condolence: As new residents of Lake Lure and new volunteers to HNGO, Steve and I only spent time with Diane on 4 or 5 occasions. Although our time with her was way too short, we got to know the real Diane - thoughtful, giving, and passionate about helping those less fortunate. We got to spend some time with Diane last Wednesday after our HNGO Volunteer meeting. Diane, being Diane, went right back to work after the meeting, asking Steve to try to fix one of the freezers. She then said she couldn't wait to get the new freezers and hoped it wouldn't be several months before they arrived. It's so fitting that they are being delivered next week.

To Diane's family - thank you for sharing Diane with us, even if it was for a short time. The impact she had on us was immeasurable and will last forever. Prayers for peace in the difficult days ahead.

Bernie and Steve Smith
