Boyce E. Ware age 84 passed away Friday May 13, 2016 while at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
A native of Rutherford County, NC; Boyce was a former employee of Stonecutter Mills having worked there some 50 years. He also is a former employee of Four Leaf Textiles. A veteran of the U.S. Army Boyce served his country during the Korean War where he served as a combat medic. He was a lifelong member of Spindale Church of The Brethren where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years Pat Ross Ware of the home, one son Michael Ware and his wife Kathleen of Forest City, NC; one daughter Rhonda Ware Cromer and her husband Robert of Mooresboro, NC; two granddaughters – Erica Cromer and fiancé Terry Scruggs of Mooresboro, NC; Jayme Griffin and her husband Kevin of Mooresboro, NC; four great grandchildren – Peyton Arthur, Sadie Hollifield, Carter Hollifield and Rylan Griffin all of Mooresboro, NC. Boyce is also survived by one brother Albert Ware and his wife Lois of Martinsville, VA as well as a number of other relatives and friends. Boyce was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Daisy West Ware as well as three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Spindale Church of the Brethren with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Concluding services will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military honors provided by The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM Monday May 16, 2016 at Crowe’s Mortuary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spindale Church of The Brethren 129 Sterling Street Spindale, NC 28160.
