Patricia Kay "Pat"  Jaynes (Poteat)
Patricia “Pat” Kay Poteat Jaynes, age 67, of 257 Nebraska St Spindale, NC passed away Friday at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Pat was a native of Rutherford County and a retired activities director for local nursing homes. She was a graduate of RS Central, a member of East Rutherford Church of God and daughter of the late Joe Seaph Poteat and the late Mary Willie Guffey Poteat.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Heather Silvers and her husband James of Rutherfordton; Jeffrey Franklin and wife Lindsay of West Monroe, La.; grandson Timothy Silvers and great grandson Riley Silvers both of Rutherfordton; brothers Joe Poteat of Laurinburg and Mike Poteat of Rutherfordton; sister Teresa Rumfelt of Polkville.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Crowe’s Mortuary with the Rev. Jonathan Lankford and Rev. Bill Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 PM at Crowe’s Mortuary.
Memorials may be made in Pat’s honor to East Rutherford Church of God.
