James Abner  Gibson
James Abner “Jimmy” Gibson of Rutherfordton died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Forest Bruce and Willie Mae Morgan Gibson. He was a retired electrician and a US Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Anderson Gibson of the home; daughter Angie Gibson Hooper (Matt) of Surfside Beach, SC; fifteen grandchildren; stepsons Richard Crook (Apryl) and Drew Anderson (Kathy) of Rutherfordton, Keith Crook (Barbara) of Ellenboro, Terry Crook (Charlene) of Gastonia, Jerry Crook (Toniah) of Greensboro, Locke Anderson of Charleston, SC; stepdaughters Karen Dobbins (Keith) of Bostic and Nancy Neal (Mark) of Charlotte; brother, Robert Gibson of Rutherfordton; sisters Jackie Burt of Forest City, Diana Brooks of Mooresboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Judy P. Gibson, sister Marie Hardin and brother Ned Gibson.
